ABOUT US

Welcome to Queen Mary Law For All Society (QMLFAS), one of the largest academic societies at Queen Mary that connects together both law and non-law students who wish to pursue a legal career. 

 

The society aims to expand the student’s knowledge of the legal field e.g. the various legal sectors, practice areas, professions, through organising educational presentations and providing exclusive online resources. The society also aims to prepare students for the application process through organising networking events, speaker-led sessions, mooting workshops, negotiation skills presentations, and mentoring schemes. 

 

Through monthly emails and social media posts, we also aim to inform students about upcoming law-related events such as insight schemes, open days, as well as vacation scheme and training contract deadlines. We also reach out to solicitors and barristers from leading law firms and chambers that are Queen Mary alumni, to provide students with insightful talks about their journey and any advice they may have.

 

The main purpose of this society is to create a community of students from all backgrounds that share mutual career goals. It will enable them to communicate their experiences, grow in confidence and develop the necessary skills to become a successful lawyer.
